How do dinosaurs... & Cozy Book Hop

Since many of you are new (at least newer) to Reading List you might not know that I have an English degree and have a passion for teaching literature. Well while I was in school I took a children's literature course, mostly because I figured it would be an easy A - as it turned out I learned more in that "throw away" course than many of my other courses.



One of the author's we studied was Jane Yolen and I could share so much about what she says about children's literature, because I truly do think she has so many awesome points. And many people know her because of her wonderful stories like Owl Moon. But I'd like to share with you today her Dinosaur books.

These stories are just plain fun and great for young kids. They introduce great topics that parents are wanting to teach their kids, like manners, colors, counting, and even going to bed!

Both of my boys sit in my lap, or next to me, and we can read at least of these stories in a row- oh and they are almost four and just barely one. So for me that is awesome to find stories that will please both for such an amount of time.

If you haven't seen any of these books I highly recommend them - I really think you'll enjoy them!
