One of my current favorites in this line of children's literature is Giraffes Can't Dance, by Giles Andreae. This book opens up the door to so many different discussions about life that, for me, it is priceless.

Gerald, the giraffe, is our main character, and he learns how important it is to be yourself, even though that might mean others will laugh at you. It's about overcoming fears to excel at what you are good at - I mean who doesn't need to learn this life lesson?
Plus this books opens the door to discussion about peer pressure and bullying.

The pictures are amazing and so engaging for kids and parents alike - Guy Parker-Rees did an absolutely superb job.

Sorry for the delay this week (didn't realize the hop was delayed - read this post) but sometimes we have to break our schedule for different things.
